Removing its associated weaknesses is another priority for the administration. Please let us know what needs extra attention starting next month.
Take particular note of these things
- Security of electronic invoices and bills: The NIC e-way bill and e-invoice system has been updated. To stop unwanted access, this has been done. A user will be discovered by tax officials if he attempts to enter using shortcuts.
- Authentication using many factors: MFA is now required for all taxpayers. The turnover requirement has been lifted. OTP and other verification procedures must now be followed. This has made things more complicated, but it has also made things more secure.
- Expiration of E-way Bills: The e-way bill will now expire 180 days after the invoice date. The extension period is limited to 360 days. This implies that products cannot be transported using the e-bill from the prior year.
- GSTR-7 sequential filing: You cannot exclude the months in between if you file GSTR-7 for TDS. GSTR-7 must be filed in the proper sequence.
- Directors' biometric authentication: Directors and promoters must now visit GST Suvidha Kendra for biometric verification. This is due to the fact that Aadhaar and PAN alone will no longer be sufficient to confirm your existence.
- Registration for IDS: A company must register as an Input Service Distributor if it has several GST registrations under the same PAN. This aims to make the input tax credit distribution process more efficient. The company could be penalized for not registering. According to experts, businesses and tax professionals have been notified beforehand about these changes. Therefore, there is no chance that the new regulations and provisions will cause any issues. According to experts, these modifications are meant to improve security and streamline the GST procedure.
