How to apply for ePass for Ooty?

 


Apply online at epass.tnega.org, the official Tamil Nadu e-pass portal, to receive an e-pass for Ooty (also called Udhagai) in the Nilgiris district. In order to control visitor numbers and provide a safe and orderly tourist experience, the e-pass is required for all visitors entering the Nilgiris district, including Ooty.



Here's a detailed tutorial on how to apply:

1. Go to the official website:

Go to epass.tnega.org, the official website.

2. Login: 

Indian users should enter their mobile number, while foreign users should use their email address.
To verify the login, a one-time password (OTP) will be given.


3. Pick Destination: 

Pick between Kodaikanal and the Nilgiris (Ooty) as your destination.





4. Give Personal Information:

Enter the following details: name, permanent address, vehicle registration number, number of passengers, date of entry/exit, vehicle type, fuel type, and location of stay.
Upload supporting documentation, such as identification, a certificate of vehicle registration, and a confirmation of your hotel reservation, if appropriate.

5. Submit Application: 


Select "Submit" from the menu.

Until all available slots for the day are taken, the e-pass will be automatically generated on a first-come, first-served basis.


6. Download and Print: 

You can capture a snapshot or download your e-pass as a PDF following a successful submission.
Because it will be needed at the entry checkpoint, bring a paper copy or digital copy of the e-pass with you when you travel.
