Together with these two businesses, a new production facility was established at the Uttarpara, West Bengal, site to build the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Approximately 80 Vande Bharat Sleeper trains would be produced in this facility.

Features of the Uttarpara facility 


1. The Uttarpara facility in West Bengal has begun producing Vande Bharat sleeper trains.


2. This is the only location in India where coaches made of aluminum and stainless steel can be produced simultaneously.

3. This facility can currently produce 300 coaches annually, but if necessary, it can boost that number to 850 coaches.
